Garhi Dupatta Memorial Hospital will be built in the town of Garhi Dupatta, as
a Memorial for the victims of the earthquake of October 2005. The hospital will
have 75 beds in the first phase with plans to expand it to a 350 bed state of
the art medical center.
Garhi Dupatta Memorial Hospital by Operation HeartBeat will be constructed over
an area of 10 acres with general medical, surgical, obstetrics, pediatrics,
intensive care and rehabilitative facilities.
Garhi Dupatta Memorial Hospital (GDMH) has been designed by Arrasmith, Judd,
Rapp and Chovan Inc., Architects and Planners of Louisville, Kentucky, USA.
GDMH will also have an adjoining hostel for nurses and other medical staff.
The completion of the hospital is aimed for the fall of 2008.
